Light timing helps your hormones know what the day demands.

Evening light has the opposite effect. Blue-wavelength light from screens, overhead lighting and most artificial sources after sunset can delay the melatonin signal the body is trying to build. Melatonin isn't just a sleep hormone. It signals to the entire hormonal system that the recovery and repair phase of the day has begun. Delaying it by two hours with screen use delays the downstream hormonal cascade that supports sleep quality, immune function, and overnight repair.

The adjustment is practical and costs nothing. Bright outdoor light in the morning, dimmer and warmer artificial light in the evening.
